The Elizabeth Ann Seton Society is a recognition club. The Elizabeth Ann Seton Society is an organization established to thank those who have remembered their parish, Catholic school, or some other diocesan organization in their estate plan. The planned gift could be a bequest in a will, life insurance policy, trust, annuity, or a variety of other planned gifts.

Members of the Society serve as examples to others, encouraging additional bequests. Masses will be held quarterly. These Masses will be said for the intentions of Society members. A breakfast or coffee will be held after Mass, and a guest speaker will join us. We would also like to recognize members by hosting an appreciation dinner annually.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is a wonderful American saint whose life was a testament to charity, prayer, and devotion to the Church. She was a wife, a mother, a convert to Catholicism, a religious sister, and foundress of the Daughters of Charity religious order. In Baltimore, MD, she established the first free Catholic school in American, and is credited for establishing the Catholic school system in this country.

People can identify with Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton because of her many roles in life. She had no extraordinary gifts. But it is her "ordinariness" that makes her such a good model for our planned giving society. She put her whole life – all her time, all of her talents, all of her treasure at Gold’s disposal.

She is quoted as saying to her religious sisters, "The first end I propose in our daily work is to do the will of God; secondly to do it in the manner he wills; and thirdly, to do it because it is his will." In the words of Pope Paul VI at her canonization in 1975, "She was an example of dynamic and authentic witness for future generations." That phrase sums up what our society is about. We hope that we can all be witnesses for the future generations of Catholics in our parishes and schools.
